1/ COAL PHASE OUT
We, Tantex Pte Ltd, have been working with some of our customers (global brands) to understand and address our carbon emissions.
We commit to phasing out/moving away from coal for contracted Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturing sites used for their products as soon as possible, and latest by 2030.
2/ SCOPE 1 & 2
We confirm that the Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturing sites we contract with have set greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets covering the manufacturing sites’ Scope 1 & 2 emissions, in line with the criteria and recommendations of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
3/ SCOPE 3
We, Tantex Pte Ltd, have been working with some of our customers (global brands) to understand and address our Scope 3 emissions.
We have measured our Scope 3 Category 1 and Category 4 emissions covering their products and have set a greenhouse gas emissions reduction target covering those emissions, from a 2025 baseline year to 2030, in line with the SBTi Net Zero Standard, which supports the ambition of the Paris Agreement in limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
Over 85% of TANTEX’s products are made from organic and/or recycled materials.
For example, our recycled polyester is primarily sourced from used PET plastic bottles, processed into fibres for fabric production. We have began a new initiative: Textile-to-textile recycling — converting textile waste into new fibres to produce sustainable fabrics.
TANTEX ensures that its supply chain partners uphold the necessary certifications and adopt a sustainability-focused mindset.
TANTEX’s Quality Assurance and Compliance teams support our partner factories in achieving and maintaining these certifications through proactive guidance and scheduled internal audits conducted quarterly or bi-annually.
